This is a demonstration of the timer functions that can be set in the option settings for each block.

The timer functions will be demonstrated in the following order.

All blocks have the "Record time spent on page" option selected. When this option is selected, the time spent on the page is recorded in the dataset in milliseconds (in the preview it is displayed on the final page).

Please note that in this demonstration only the single choice question type is being used, however these settings can be applied to all of the Psychexp question types (for each block).

In this block only the "Record time spent on page" option has been set.

The time from when the page was opened until the time when the "NEXT" button is clicked will be recorded in milliseconds in the dataset.

In this block the following options have been set.

"Hide NEXT button until time expires"

"Record time spent on page"

The time limit is set to 10,000 ms. (= 10 seconds)

In this block the following options have been set.

"Next page when time expires (hide next button)"

"Countdown bar"

"Record time spent on page"

The time limit is set to 30,000 ms. (= 30 seconds)

In this block the following options have been set.

"Next page when time expires (show next button)"

"Countdown bar"

"Record time spent on page"

The time limit is set to 30,000 ms. (= 30 seconds)

In this block the following options have been set.

"Disable responses when time expires"

"Countdown bar with numbers"

"Record time spent on page"
